KEAM 2020 : Kerala Engineering Entrance Applications Started, All India Eligibility

Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination KEAM for admission to Engineering Degree Courses in Kerala will be conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt of Kerala, in April 2020. For Medical courses, admission will be based on NEET.

All India Eligibility : Candidates from across the country are eligible (under ‘Non-Keralite Category II’).

Such candidates are eligible for admission to both Government and Management quota seats in Engineering course in Government controlled Self-Financing colleges. However the ‘Non-Keralite Category II’ (NK II) candidates will be considered for admission to the Government seats in Engineering courses in Government controlled Self-Financing colleges only when the Keralite and Non-Keralite I (NK I) candidates are not available for admission. ‘Non-Keralite Category II’ (NK II) candidates are also eligible for admission to both Government and Management quota seats in Private Self-financing Engineering / Architecture colleges.

‘Non-Keralite Category II’ (NK II) candidates are not eligible for admission to Government Engineering Colleges.

KEAM 2020 dates

Last day to apply online & pay fee : 25 Feb 2020

Paper 1 (Physics & Chemistry) : 20 April 2020 // 10AM to 12.30PM

Paper 2 (Mathematics) : 21 April 2020 // 10AM to 12.30PM

Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Architecture courses must qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture. Admission in Architecture is based on merit as assessed by equal weightage to NATA Score and marks/grades in the Qualifying Examination.

Exam date clash : It may be noted that KEAM  dates have an overlap with SRMJEE, GAT-UGTP and KLUEEE, hence select exam date slots for the other 3 exams cautiously.

No. of seats : Last year, there were 50,000+ seats in over 180 colleges. The list for 2020 will be published by the CEE, prior to commencement of the Centralised Allotment Process.

Examination centres : Dubai, New Delhi, Mumbai and All District Centres in Kerala (viz. Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kannur, Kasaragod, Kattappana, Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapuram, Thodupuzha,, Thrissur, Wayanad)
