Children Day Stamp Design Contest by GoI and UNICEF

Department of Posts (Govt of India) and UNICEF invite all students of Class 1 to 12 to design Stamps on the theme Child Rights (Right to Survival, Right to Protection, Right to Development, Right to Participation). Prize winning entries may be adopted as Postage Stamps.

Prizes

First prize : Rs.50,000

Second prize : Rs.25,000

Third prize : Rs.10,000

Consolation prize : 5 prizes of Rs.5,000 each

Contest dates

Dates for submission : 7 Aug 2019 to 20 Sep2019

Announcement of result : 14 Nov 2019

General guidelines

Children studying in Class 1 to 12 are eligible to participate.

The participants have to make original design on the subject (should not be copy of picture painted / creative y someone else).

The drawing /painting could be ink, water colour, oil colour or any other medium (computer printed / printout is not allowed).

The design should be such as can be depicted on the stamps in a visually appealing manner so as to be of interest to philatelists / collectors.

Participants are free to use drawing paper / art paper or any other type of white paper of A4 size.
