PGIMER BSc Nursing Entrance 2019 Scrapped, To be Held Again
2019-08-15National Institute of Nursing Education, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh, has scrapped the Entrance Exam conducted on 11 Aug 2019 for its 4 Year BSc Nursing course, citing administrative reasons. The entrance exam shall now be conducted again on 25 Aug.
About the Institute : The National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE) was established in 1964 in Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh with an aim to bring primary health services within the reach of all individuals. Earlier the Nursing Institute was offering graduate and postgraduate degree courses in nursing under Punjab University. According to Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh (Amendment) Act, 2008 No. 3 of 2009, degrees are now awarded by this Institute.
It was declared as an Institute of National importance by an Act of Parliament (Act 51 of 1966) w.e.f. 1st April, 1967.
