Bachelor of Fishery Science - Nautical Science, Affiliated to Cochin Univ
2019-04-10Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET), Cochin, under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare (Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying & Fisheries) invites applications for admission to one of its kind courses, the admission to which shall be through a Common Entrance Test along with 50% weightage of academic performance/interview.
Course offered : 4 year Bachelor of Fishery Science (Nautical Science)
- Four year degree programme ( 8 semester) with integrated practical & onboard training on ocean going fishing vessels
- Affiliated to CUSAT, Kochi and approved by DG Shipping, Mumbai
- The course will be conducted at CIFNET, Kochi only
Eligibility : 10 + 2 with minimum 50% marks in all subjects of PCB or PCM
Note : Candidate with PCM group will be directly eligible for GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) after BFSc(NS) degree. GMDSS is an internationally agreed-upon set of safety procedures, types of equipment, and communication protocols used to increase safety and make it easier to rescue distressed ships, boats and aircraft.
