IIT Roorkee announces JEE-Advanced 2019

IIT Roorkee has released the prospectus for JEE Advanced 2019, the registrations for which shall begin from 03 May 2019. JEE Advanced is conducted for admission in all IITs. In addition to IITs,many other institutes also grant admission based on the JEE-Adv ranks.

Courses offered : B.Tech, BS, B.Arch, Dual Degree B.Tech+M.Tech, Dual degree BS+MS, Integrated M.Tech, Integrated M.Sc

List of IITs : IIT Bhilai, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dhanbad, Dharwad, Gandhinagar, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kharagpur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Mandi, Mumbai, New Delhi, Palakkad, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Tirupati, Varanasi

Other institutes accepting JEE (Advanced) : Other institutes which have used JEE-Advanced ranks in the past include the following :

- Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc)

- Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) located in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati

- Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram

- Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli

- Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy, Visakhapatnam

Joint seat allocation : The seats across IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Govt. Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be allocated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

All the candidates who are eligible for admission will have to participate in the joint seat allocation process by filling in their choices of the courses. The detailed instructions for filling-in the choices and the seat allotment procedure will be made available by JoSAA through Seat Allotment Brochure.

The schedule of the joint seat allocation will be announced separately by JoSAA 2019.

Min score for inclusion in rank list : Only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and in aggregate in JEE-Adv 2019 will be included in the rank list. The minimum prescribed marks varies with the category as listed below :

a) Common rank list (CRL)

Minimum %age marks in each subject : 10

Minimum %age aggregate marks : 35

b) GEN-EWS rank list

Minimum %age marks in each subject : 9

Minimum %age aggregate marks : 31.5

c) OBC-NCL rank list

Minimum %age marks in each subject : 9

Minimum %age aggregate marks : 31.5

d) SC rank list

Minimum %age marks in each subject : 5

Minimum %age aggregate marks : 17.5

e) ST rank list

Minimum %age marks in each subject : 5

Minimum %age aggregate marks : 17.5

f) Common-PwD rank list (CRL-PwD)

Minimum %age marks in each subject : 5

Minimum %age aggregate marks : 17.5

g) OBC-NCL-PwD rank list

Minimum %age marks in each subject : 5
