NTA to conduct AIEEA-UG 2019 on behalf of ICAR, Applications process started
2019-04-02All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA)-UG shall be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for admission to following 11 Bachelor Degree programmes :
(a) BSc (Hons) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, Sericulture
(b) BFSc
(c) B.Tech in Agriculture Engg, Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Biotechnology
(d) Food Nutrition and Dietetics (this course is ubject to accreditation by National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board)
Till last year, the exam was being conducted by ICAR itself.
Universities & Intake : The admission is in Agriculture and allied sciences (other than veterinary sciences), at Agricultural Universities on 15% of the University seats (100% seats in RLB CAU Jhansi, NDRI Karnal and Dr RP CAU Pusa, Bihar). Further, not more than 40% candidates from any one state shall be admitted in any agricultural university/subject.
Number of ICAR seats available for admission through ICAR-AIEEA (UG) in different disciplines at accredited Agricultural Universities for the academic session 2019-20 will be displayed on ICAR’s website at the time of counselling.
Scholarship : National Talent Scholarship would be available through the Agricultural University concerned, to every student admitted on ICAR seat at any Agricultural University in a state outside his/her domicile state.
Subjects required in qualifying exam
(i) B.Tech Biotechnology & BSc (Hons) Community Science /Sericulture / Food Nutrition and Dietetics : PCB / PCM / PCMB
(ii) B.Tech Agri Engg / Dairy Tech / Food Tech : PCM / PCMB
(iii) BSc (Hons) Agriculture / Horticulture : PCB / PCMB / PCM / Inter- Agriculture
(iv) BFSc & BSc (Hons) Forestry : PCB / PCMB / Inter-Agriculture
