JIPMER 2019 MBBS Applications Now Open
2019-03-11Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) has started the online application process for admissions to its MBBS batch expected to commence form August 2019.
Admissions are via the JIPMER-2019 MBBS Entrance Exam that would be conducted in online mode in 119 cities across India.
JIPMER offers MBBS across its two campuses - one in Puducherry (90kms from Chennai) and the other from Karaikal (150 kms south of Puducherry).

Puducherry: UR - 45; OBC - 28; SC - 15; ST - 7; EWS - 10; P-UR - 15; P-OBC - 10; P-SC - 5; P-ST - 3; P-EWS - 3; NRI/OCI - 5
Karaikal: UR - 16; OBC - 9; SC - 5; ST - 2; EWS - 3; P-UR - 8; P-OBC - 3; P-SC - 1; P-ST - 1; P-EWS - 1; NRI/OCI - 1
Note: EWS = Apart from the usual reservation the institute will also have 17 seats out of the 200 reserved for candidates from Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) (Newly Added as per GoI) . Applicants who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs and whose family has gross annual income below Rs. 8.00 lakh (Rupees eight lakh only) are to be identified as EWSs for benefit of reservation.
