Hotel Management JEE on 27 April, NTA takes over from NCHMCT
2018-11-13National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has notified that the Jont Entrance Exam for Hotel Management course shall be conducted on 27 April 2019, the applications for which will start from 15 Jan 2019.
Key changes announced
Exam will now be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), Min of HRD
The exam will be completely Online. There will be no offline (pen and paper) mode option
Course offered : 3 Year B.Sc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration), offered jointly by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
Direct admission to 10+2 Board rank holders : Each IHMs shall have three seats earmarked for 10+2 rank holders (one each for Arts, Science and Commerce stream) from among 1st to 200th rank holders from respective streams from recognized Boards of school examination wherein up to 2 lacs candidates appear or 1st to 500th rank holders from Board of Examination where 2 lacs to 5 lacs candidates take examination. The inter-se-merit from recognized School Boards of examination shall be at par.
Direct admission for NRI / FN / PIO : There is a different scheme for direct admission of Foreign Nationals (FN), Non Resident Indians (NRI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO or Overseas Citizen of India) students. They also need not to appear in the NCHM JEE.
