JEE-Advanced 2019 Date Announced

IIT-Roorkee has announced that the JEE-Advanced 2019 would be held on 19th May, 2019 (Sunday).  All other details pertaining to JEE-Advanced 2019 are yet to be announced. JEE-Advanced is the entrance exam to gain admissions into the 23 IITs.   The exam would be only held in online mode (computer based test).

Besides admissions to IITs, JEE-Advanced scores were also used last year for admissions to 5 IISERs, IISc, Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), IIST and the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT).  

Last year, the following criteria was applicable for applying to JEE-Advanced:
- Candidates had to be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018. No. of candidates may be slightly more than 2,24,000 owing to “tied” ranks / score in any category.
- A candidate can attempt JEE-Advanced a maximum of two times in consecutive years. 
- Must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
