Everything You Needed to Know About JEE Main 2019 & NEET 2019

2018-08-24

Over the last month or two there have been lots of action, meetings, press-releases and debates over the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA) and how it would impact the most widely followed entrance exams, i,e, JEE Main and NEET.  We are here to give you all a quick but crisp update on how things stand as on date.

Who is going to conduct these entrance exams?

Both JEE Main and NEET were earlier conducted by CBSE.  But over a period of time, the burden of conducting these entrance exams have been impacting the core mandate of the CBSE, i.e., to affiliate schools to the education board and to conduct the final examinations to Class 10 and 12 each year.  The HRD Ministry announced the creation of the National Testing Agency which would be a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. The NTA is mandated to conduct

  • NEET
  • JEE Main
  • Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)
