BIT Mesra invites applications for vacant BTech seats in BIT Jaipur, Patna and Deoghar campuses
2018-07-01Applications are invited by BIT Mesra from eligible candidates against vacant seats in B.Tech program at BIT Deoghar, BIT Jaipur and BIT Patna Campuses for the session 2018-19. Provisional selections for each category will be made in merit based on CRL Rank in JEE Main 2018 and also fulfill other eligibility criteria.
Eligibility
a) Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1993 are eligible for admission. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates who were born on or after 1 October 1988 are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board (Class X, High School) certificate only will be taken as authentic.
b) Candidate must have passed in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII), or its equivalent, referred to as the qualifying examination.
c) Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech. programme shall be as under with at least 45% marks and 40% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates in the above subjects taken together : 1. Language, 2-Physics, 3-Mathematics, 4- Any one of (Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject), 5- Any other Subject
(Physics and Mathematics are as compulsory and one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.)
d) The candidate must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2018 and should have secures a valid AIR (CRL Rank) in JEE (Main) 2018.
e) BC-I / BC-II of Jharkhand State for admission at BIT Deoghar Campus: The candidates must have passed their qualifying exam from the State of Jharkhand and should be BC-I / BC-II of Jharkhand State only. A certificate should have been issued on or after 1st April 2017.
f) BC-I / BC-II of Bihar State for admission at BIT Patna Campus: The candidates must have passed their qualifying exam from the State of Bihar and should be BC-I /BC-II/ BC Girls of Bihar State only. A certificate should have been issued on or after 1st April 2017.
Selection Procedure
Provisional selections for each category will be made in merit based on CRL Rank in JEE Main 2018 and also fulfill other eligibility criteria mentioned above. The provisionally selected candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria, else the offers will be withdrawn.
How to apply
a) To start online application, click on the link, create ‘username’ and ‘password’ by clicking on “New users register here” when prompted. Do not share the username and password with any body else.
b) To apply for the B.Tech. programme, eligible candidates must complete and submit the application form online only. Pay application fee of Rs.1,180/- for General / OBC candidates or Rs.885/- for SC/ST candidates (inclusive of GST) through State Bank Collect - net banking or credit card of any nationalized bank in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” within the given time period. [Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances].
c) Please use separate application form for each campus with available seats / branches in order of preference (either at BIT Deoghar or BIT Jaipur or BIT Patna) and in case applying for more than one Campus, pay additional application fee, as applicable.
d) The choices of branch must be filled-in carefully in prudential order since choices, once filled-in, cannot be modified after submission of application form throughout the counselling process.
e) Candidates are advised to refer our Institute website for status of their application and other details by using their ‘username’ and ‘password’, as created at the time of filling the online application form.

Candidates should also carry two recent photographs identical to that used in their Application Form / JEE-MAIN 2018 Admit Card.
