Balanced gender ratio, CBSE highest share in top ranks in Kerala 2018 Engineering Entrance Exam

In the recently held 2018 State Level Engineering Entrance Exam in Kerala, girls constituted 48% of the total (90233) students who attempted the exam. And in final rank list, girls garnered a 49% share.

Total no. of students who appeared in the exam : 90233

No. of girl students : 43470 (approx 48%)

No. of girls who qualified (29646 / 58268) : 51%

No. of girls included in the rank list (22943 / 46686) : 49%

Top 100 ranks

While girls garnered a 49% share in the rank list, the first 100 rankers had only 10% girl students.

Plus 2 Level Board wise share in top 5000 rank list

Going by the number of candidates in the first 5000 rank list based on their board of study in +2 level, CBSE has the highest success rate and HSE Kerala has the lowest.

CBSE : 16.7% (2377 out of 14267 appeared)

ISCE (CISCE) : 14.8% (172 out of 1161 appeared)

Others : 11.1% (57 out of 514 appeared)

HSE Kerala : 7.8% (2394 out of 30744 appeared)
