Jamia Starts BSc Aeronautics course, Admission through Entrance Exam

Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University) in collaboration with Pawan Hans Limited (A Govt. of India undertaking) has started B.Sc. (Aeronautics) in Mechanical and Avionics Streams. B.Sc. (Aeronautics) will provide its students a strong aviation background to pursue higher education to acquire top positions in aviation industry.

The duration of the course is three years consisting of six semesters. First five semesters of the program will be a combination of theory and practical classes and in the sixth semester the student will undergo practical/hands-on experience on live Helicopter/Aircraft, at Aircraft Maintenance Organisation.

While pursuing this B.Sc. (Aeronautics) program, interested students would also be able to avail the opportunity to simultaneously appear in various modules of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). After successful completion of the applicable DGCA modules, the students will get BAMEL (Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License) from DGCA as per CAR-66 requirement.

Intake : 30 seats in each stream (Mechanical and Avionics)

Selection Procedure : There will be an Entrance Test. Admission will be granted purely on merit of Entrance Test and as per University’s reservation policy
