RGIPT Invites BTech 2018 Admission Applications
2018-06-19Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Amethi, invites applications from the Indian citizens for the admission in 4 year B.Tech.programme in the following disciplines for the academic session 2018 -19.
a) Petroleum Engineering (Number of seats = 60)
b) Chemical Engineering (Number of seats = 60)
About RGIPT : The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MOP&NG), Government of India set up The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) at Jais, Dist. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh through an Act of Parliament (“Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Act 2007"). RGIPT has been accorded the eminence of being an “Institute of National Importance” along the lines of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The Institute is empowered to award degrees in its own right. RGIPT is co-promoted as an energy domain specific institute by six leading Oil Public Sector Units (ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL) in association with the Oil Industry Development Board (OIDB) [ This however does not bind them to preferentially recruit from RGIPT ]. The Institute is associating with leading International Universities / Institutions specializing in the domain of Petroleum Technology.
Eligibility
Admission will be based on JEE (Advanced) - 2018 Rank List. The candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% in case of SC/ST/PwD) in class 12 or equivalent.
Note : (i) RGIPT does not offer preparatory courses hence prep rank will not be considered. (ii) Candidates having color blindness are not eligible for BTech in Petroleum Engineering, however, they may apply for Chemical Engineering

e) Declaration of first list of selected candidates, who paid registration fee : July 14, 2018
f) Payment of remaining amount (General/OBC: ₹ 1,00,000/-, SC/ST/PwD: ₹25,000/-) of g) Admission Fees by selected candidates in the first list : July 20, 2018, up to 4:00 PM
h) Registration at RGIPT, Amethi : July 29, 2018
i) Academic session starts : July 30, 2018

Reservation
As per the Government of India directives, reservation policy will be applicable. The Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD must be submitted in the specified format.
