Programs Offered: Four different B.A. programs related to Journalism & Mass Communications
CHRIST (Deemed University) was founded in 1969 by the religious community, the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). Christ College was the first educational institution to be awarded A+ by the NAAC, UGC. Christ College was declared Deemed to be University in July 2008.
Christ University offers following three year Journalism & Media Communication programs.
1. Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media, English and Psychology (BA CEP) - Bengaluru Main Campus
2. Bachelor of Arts Honours in Journalism (Hons) - BGR Campus
3. Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Psychology, English (BA-JPEng) - Bengaluru Main Campus
4. Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, Economics, Political Science - Bengaluru Main Campus
CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has following five campuses
- 3 in Bengaluru. The Main campus on the Hosur Road, one in Kengeri and the latest campus on the Bannerghatta road.
- 1 off-campus in Lavasa, Pune
- 1 off-campus in Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR)
The Journalism and Media programs are all offered from their Bengaluru campuses.
Note:
a) The Entrance Test, shall be held online.
b) The Personal Interview & Micro Presentation shall be held via online video conferencing.
b) Candidates who apply for multiple programmes with separate application numbers, for which the date and time of the Entrance Test is the same, need to take only one Entrance Test.
c) Candidates who have applied for multiple programmes through separate Application Number, for which the date and time of the Entrance Test is the same, need to take only one Entrance Test. The score obtained will be automatically copied to another application. However, the candidate should face all other rounds such as Skill Assessment, Personal Interviews individually for all applied Programmes.
Fee:
1. BA Journalism (Hons) Bannarghatta Rd campus: Rs. 75,000/- per year for Karnataka candidates; Rs. 95,000/- per year for Other state candidates, Rs. 143,000 for NRI candidates, USD 2500 for SAARC/AFRICA/PIO/OCI/ASEAN candidates, and USD 3000 for Other Foreign National candidates.. (Does not include any other fees such as Admission fee of Rs.5000/- etc.)
2. BA Media Studies, Economics, Political Science - Bannerghatta Rd campus: Rs. 65,000/- per year for Karnataka candidates; Rs. 85,000/- per year for Other state candidates, Rs. 124,000 for NRI candidates, USD 2500 for SAARC/AFRICA/PIO/OCI/ASEAN candidates, and USD 3000 for Other Foreign National candidates.. (Does not include any other fees such as Admission fee of Rs.5000/- etc.)
3. BA Communication and Media, English and Psychology - Bangalore Central campus: Rs. 90,000/- per year for Karnataka candidates; Rs. 110,000/- per year for Other state candidates, Rs. 171,000 for NRI candidates, USD 2500 for SAARC/AFRICA/PIO/OCI/ASEAN candidates, and USD 3000 for Other Foreign National candidates.. (Does not include any other fees such as Admission fee of Rs.5000/- etc.)

BA Media and Public Affairs (Honours) - Delhi NCR Campus: Rs. 145,000/- per year for Other state candidates, Rs. 215,000 for NRI candidates, USD 3500 for SAARC/AFRICA/PIO/OCI/ASEAN candidates, and USD 4000 for Other Foreign National candidates.. (Does not include any other fees such as Admission fee of Rs.5000/- etc.)

BA Economics, Media Studies, Political Science - Bannerghatta Rd campus: Rs. 65,000/- per year for Karnataka candidates; Rs. 85,000/- per year for Other state candidates, Rs. 124,000 for NRI candidates, USD 2500 for SAARC/AFRICA/PIO/OCI/ASEAN candidates, and USD 3000 for Other Foreign National candidates.. (Does not include any other fees such as Admission fee of Rs.5000/- etc.)

BA Journalism, Psychology, English - Bangalore Central campus: Rs. 75,000/- per year for Karnataka candidates; Rs. 95,000/- per year for Other state candidates, Rs. 143,000 for NRI candidates, USD 2500 for SAARC/AFRICA/PIO/OCI/ASEAN candidates, and USD 3000 for Other Foreign National candidates.. CHRIST offers fully furnished residence halls for non-resident students. These residences are available separately for male and female students. Residences have single, twin or triple sharing options. However, the residences do not provide mess facilities.
Female residences annual fee ranges from Rs. 39,000 to Rs. 107,000 depending upon the type of sharing.
Male residences annual fee ranges from Rs. 39,000 to Rs. 75,000 depending upon the type of sharing.
For NRI category
1. NRI fee is applicable for first year for candidates who have studied foreign syllabus (has to be approved by UGC / AIU) in the qualifying examination of study in India. (The above condition is not applicable to NRI and candidates applied under NRI Category).
2. NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the programme for candidates who;
2.1. Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
2.2. Are NRI and candidates who have applied under NRI category.
3. To claim Indian / Karnataka category fee, the candidates should have studied last 7 years in India / Karnataka. (Not applicable for OCI, PIO and Foreign Nationals).
